Traffic Systems
The Traffic Systems group is devoted to the
design and supply of sign support products. These products are
sold to federal, state, regional and local 
authorities
as well as to those serving those markets.
Products sold by the Traffic Systems group include round posts
and square perforated posts, breakaway slip base systems, and
the accessories related to the sign support systems.
Designed to save lives, save time and save money, the focus of
the Traffic Systems Group is to provide products designed to
break away or yield upon impact meeting the requirements of
clear zone safety.
The POZ-LOC Slipbase System is used in several states along
highways to support signs of various sizes, and is a system
designed to release the post on impact from any direction and
rotate clear of the impact with minimal change in vehicle
velocity. Our socket systems and square perforated tubing
products are designed to meet the requirements of state and
local authorities. We also have installation tools and hardware
available to simplify the use of our products.
Northwest Pipe products are designed to be NCHRP Report 350
compliant and to meet or exceed AASHTO approval requirements.
