Capital Project Manager
Northwest Pipe is the leading manufacturer of welded steel pipe. This position is located in Adelanto, CA.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support manufacturing with equipment alterations, new equipment designs Provide Design efforts from inception through startup and operation. Communicate with vendors regarding specifications, cost and delivery and or other duties as required.
PREFERRED JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Effective written and verbal skills
- Project Management skills/M.S. Project experience
- Knowledge of Structural analysis of mild steel
- Knowledge of welding equipment and processes
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and components Knowledge of drive components, application
- Knowledge of Environmental/Regulatory compliance
- Safety training
- Problem solving skills
- Lean Mfg./TPM experience
- Able to work independently
QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years progressive experience
- Project Management
- Equipment Design
- Preventive Maintenance Systems
- MTBR and MTTR
- AutoCAD experience required
- Computer literate
- Knowledge of Fabrication/Machine Shop processes and equipment
- Must be self motivated and able to communicate with all levels of personnel
- Capable of Managing multiple projects and priorities
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Possible visual strain due to review of drawings and or computer time
- Normal office environment
- Regularly exposed to shop environment, dust, noise etc.
- Regularly required to walk, bend, climb and occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds
- Requires hard hat, safety glasses, safety shoes and hearing protection while in the plant
- Some travel required, both Domestic and International
