The POZ-LOC™ Slip-Base System is a triangular, multi-directional breakaway traffic signpost system. This Federal Highway Administration (FHWA)-approved product is designed for safety, economy and versatility. Field testing has demonstrated that at impact the post and sign flip over the vehicle safely, greatly reducing the likelihood of occupant injury; and the change in vehicle velocity is minimal. The breakaway characteristic of the Slip-Base system allows for reuse of most of the signpost components. The easy installation and ability to reuse saves time and money. The single Slip-Base stub is used with a 2 7/8" Schedule 10 or Schedule 80 post. This reduces inventory and provides flexibility in the field to meet wind and load requirements. Different sign support brackets are also available, increasing the versatility of this product.
The POZ-LOC™ Sign Post Anchor System is another innovative solution in the POZ-LOC™ family of products. Also FHWA-approved, this easily installed and reusable socket system can be installed without digging, without concrete, without nuts and bolts, and without threading.
POZITUBE® Traffic Posts are galvanized steel posts that are produced conforming to ASTM specifications. These posts can be shipped clear coated, or powder coated in the popular High Visibility yellow or several other colors. The posts may be ordered with sign mounting brackets, our standard 13-hole pre-punched pattern, or custom punched to your specifications. The posts are compatible with either of the other POZ-LOC™ products or can be purchased separately for more traditional installations.
