Innovative Steel Casing Pipe Installation Using Mechanical Interlocking Joints, 2018

Trenchless construction techniques eliminate the need to open-cut roadways, railroads, canals, city street intersections, and other locations where trenches for pipe and casing installations are prohibitive. This paper discusses the use of mechanical interlocking joints for casing installations, including case histories, design and specification considerations, and the efficiencies gained with the various styles of innovative joints available.

2022, A Novel System for Assuring the Performance of Steel Water Pipelines in Ground Settlement Areas

Differential settlements due to soil conditions may introduce significant deformation in a pipeline due to bending and axial elongation, leading to loss of containment in gasketed or other systems. This paper describes the application of a novel concept in settlement areas: the patent-pending InfraShield® Seismic Resilient Joint System, designed to absorb ground-induced deformations, preventing water leakages and safeguarding overall pipeline integrity.
