Northwest Pipe to Match Community Donations for Columbia Springs in ‘Give More 24!’
The 24-hour virtual “Day of Giving” kicks off Thursday, September 24, 2020
VANCOUVER, Washington: Northwest Pipe Company is proud to partner with our neighbors at Columbia Springs for Give More 24! Southwest Washington’s largest “Day of Giving” is hosted by the Community Foundation and features more than 200 local non-profits. The goal of this annual 24-hour virtual event is to amplify fundraising impact through corporate matches for many non-profits across the region.
Give More 24! is happening on Thursday, September 24th, 2020. During the event Northwest Pipe will match donations made to Columbia Springs dollar for dollar— up to $250 per person–until we reach our goal of $2,500 in total matching funds. These funds are part of a larger commitment we made to support Columbia Springs in their mission of providing educational experiences for children that foster greater awareness of the natural world.
Located just three miles south of our Corporate Office in Vancouver, Washington, Columbia Springs is a non-profit outdoor education center on the Columbia Slope Watershed. The site is open daily to the public and features a historic fish hatchery, two lakes, and miles of hiking trails. The educational team at Columbia Springs designs custom curricula that coincides with classroom learning for elementary students, including hands-on activities exploring the site’s diverse watershed eco-system. With hydro-centric topics like water quality testing, the kids at Columbia Springs are having fun while getting their feet wet in water science, making a partnership with Northwest Pipe Company doubly rewarding.
