Modern steel pipe features reduced weight and wall thickness. It is manufactured with high-grade steel and dielectric coating systems to ensure working pressures in excess of 400 psi. Watertight joints accommodate joint offset (joint movement caused by differential water temperature) and differential settlement, and they can be as strong as the pipe itself. The resilient nature of steel pipe delivers joint soundness without perfect trench grading or soil stability. Unlike ductile iron or plastic pipe materials, we manufacture each piece of steel pipe to be part of an engineered system designed specifically to your project’s performance requirements and site conditions.
